Set in the year 2142, "Alien: Romulus" follows Rain Carradine, an orphan residing on the mining colony of Jackson's Star alongside her synthetic brother, Andy, whom her father reprogrammed to protect her after their parents' deaths. The colony, under the control of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation, extends workers' contracts indefinitely, effectively enslaving them. When Rain's ex-boyfriend, Tyler, learns his contract has been prolonged, he proposes a daring escape plan: to commandeer cryostasis chambers from the abandoned Weyland-Yutani space station, Renaissance, and journey to the distant planet Yvaga III. Rain, Andy, Tyler, his pregnant sister Kay, their cousin Bjorn, and Bjorn's adopted sister Navarro embark on this perilous mission. Upon boarding the Renaissance, they inadvertently unleash dormant Xenomorphs, leading to a desperate struggle for survival. Amidst the chaos, Andy's programming is compromised, causing him to prioritize Weyland-Yutani's directives over the crew's safety. As the team is systematically hunted by the relentless creatures, Rain must confront not only the external alien threat but also internal betrayals and her own fears. The film culminates in a tense confrontation where Rain's resilience and determination are tested to their limits, highlighting themes of survival, corporate exploitation, and the enduring human spirit.
