Set in the idyllic French countryside, Delicious (2025) is a German psychological thriller that delves into themes of privilege, manipulation, and the unsettling dynamics within a seemingly perfect family. The story follows a wealthy German family—John, Esther, and their children Philipp and Alba—as they embark on a summer vacation at their luxurious villa in Provence. Their tranquil retreat takes a dark turn when they accidentally hit a young woman named Teodora on a secluded road. Opting to bring her into their home instead of seeking medical attention, they unknowingly invite a sinister presence into their lives.

Teodora, portrayed by Carla Díaz, initially appears as a grateful and helpful guest. However, as she integrates herself into the family's daily life, underlying tensions and secrets begin to surface. Each family member, drawn to Teodora for different reasons, starts to reveal hidden desires and vulnerabilities. As Teodora's influence grows, the family's facade of harmony unravels, leading to a series of events that challenge their perceptions of trust, loyalty, and morality.

Directed by Nele Mueller-Stöfen in her feature debut, Delicious premiered in the Panorama section of the 75th Berlin International Film Festival and is available for streaming on Netflix from March 7, 2025. The film offers a gripping exploration of class disparities and the complexities of human relationships, leaving viewers to ponder the true nature of the characters' intentions and the consequences of their actions.
