The Killer's Game (2024), directed by J.J. Perry, is an action-comedy thriller that follows Joe Flood (Dave Bautista), a seasoned assassin who, after receiving a terminal diagnosis, arranges for his own death to spare his ex-girlfriend, Maize Arnaud (Sofia Boutella), from witnessing his decline. However, upon learning that his diagnosis was a mistake, Joe finds himself unable to cancel the contract he initiated. Consequently, he becomes the target of numerous assassins, including Creighton Lovedahl (Terry Crews), Angus Mackenzie (Scott Adkins), and Marianna Antoinette (Pom Klementieff), all of whom are eager to collect the bounty on his head.

As the plot unfolds, Joe's efforts to survive lead him to confront various adversaries, culminating in a final showdown with Lovedahl. In the end, Joe and Maize, who has been drawn back into the conflict, manage to escape the chaos, and Joe vows to retire from his life as an assassin to be with her.

Despite its promising premise and star-studded cast, The Killer's Game received predominantly negative reviews. Critics noted that the film's attempt to blend action with comedy fell flat, with the over-the-top violence and lackluster character development detracting from its potential. The film was also a box-office disappointment, grossing only $5.9 million against a $30 million budget.
