"Breath of Life" is a 2023 Nigerian faith-based drama directed by BB Sasore. The film follows Timi Johnson, a prodigious individual fluent in 16 languages and capable of holding his breath underwater for an astonishing 57 minutes and 18 seconds. After becoming the first African clergyman in the Church of England, Timi marries Bridget, whom he met at Cambridge University, and they have a daughter, Allison. The family returns to Nigeria, where Timi dedicates himself to restoring a local church, leading a fulfilling life until tragedy strikes. His family falls victim to a local thug known as Baby Fire, resulting in their untimely deaths. Devastated, Timi withdraws from society, becoming a reclusive and embittered figure. Years later, he hires Elijah, a humble young man aspiring to become a priest, as his house manager. Through their interactions, Elijah helps Timi rediscover his faith and purpose, leading to a journey of healing and redemption. The film explores themes of grief, faith, and the interconnectedness of human destinies.
